A research project into the modularity of urban living. The Grid proposes a framework that can be populated and depopulated based on the city's fluctuating needs.
By utilizing a rigid 5x5m structural grid, the project allows for arbitrary configurations of living, working, and public spaces. The facade is a dynamic layer of smart glass that adjusts its transparency based on the internal occupancy and external solar gain.
